A haljina Tajči Čekada. Upotrijebom riječi „posmrtno” u nazivu ove konceptualne-modne izložbe autorica nas odmah uvodi u specifičan odnos naspram njenih modela proglašavajući ih time upravo takvim, posebnim, odabranim opravama .

The exhibition “burial suites and urns” is a copyright work of a fashion designer Tajči Čekada. The exhibition consists of five creations, i.e. burial suites, and five china urns, which in this context serve as designer detail. The author of the urns is Elda Čekada. The theme of this fashion show was born from the relation to burial suites, which receive much attention in certain areas. These are usually expensive and high quality garments bough and kept to be used especially for that occasion. With the use of the adjective “burial,” the author introduces us into the special relation to her creations, thus proclaiming them to be special, unique suites. (If your choice is a classic burial, I suggest suites made of synthetic materials as they have the advantage of lasting long after the body turns to ashes. For those of you who choose cremation Elda prepared deliberately half-baked urns, which will be finished in the process of the cremation. This way the ashes of the deceased becomes part of the chemical structure of the urn’s enamel.) The exhibition will, in accordance with the title, be opened in Nebeska gallery in Rijeka on Halloween, October 31/November 1 2006 at 00.00 hours. Incidental music forthe exhibition was composed by Rijeka-based composer Josip Maršić. Following the opening refreshments will be served (wake).
